About

The Lit Endz sound was founded in 2008  when Richard Florey and Ryan Beck collaborated on a rock recording titled, “Death Since Insemination.” When the song was finished, the response was to do it again… The two developed a recording formula that promised consistent straight forward rock songs, that give the listener a hint of the classic with the edge of the new.

With access to a close circle of talented musicians, they first turned to John Marque to provide the tracks with the perfect percussive drive. He recorded the drums with engineer Jake Belser of Farm Fresh Studios (Bloomington,IN) and with the amazing acoustics attained in those sessions, the tracks took on a life of their own.

Bassist and vocalist Colin Clark contributed to the sound by writing the “Take this Job and Shove It” anthem of 2009 “Overworked, Overtime” and elevated the sound even further with his background vocals. The rhythmic drive was enhanced with the live addition of bluesy rock guitarist Rob Doty. His positive vibe brought the cohesiveness to the stage and filled the sound with the swells and feedback that have become a trademark of the Lit Endz sound.

Multi-instrumentalists Landon Curtis, Bill Headley, Rusty Gordon Jr., and Jon Couch all make live show and album appearances. From the keys to the tamborine, they weave the final sonic threads into the sound, boosting the energy into a full-on rock show.

The outcome from all the hard work, focused song writing and live performances is a solid album in “Coal Creek Kings” and alot of FUN! You can’t go wrong with a sound that appeals to the young and the young-at-heart alike. Venues from all over the Midwest rave of the shows turn-outs and performance quality. We can only hope that 2010′s “The Dig” album, currently in the recording phase, drops sooner than later, with an extensive fan base hungry for more of that Lit Endz sound. Until then, we’ll see you on the road….
